Sad case of student accident in Kelantan waterfall

In this sad case, the student, age 23, Geng Wu year plunged to his death from the Kelantan water fall.

We have very little information here but we have the age, location and events' time.

Kelantan is at the northern corridor from Singapore.  His Geng stem is in the north.  Both north and north east are rather weak sectors at 7PM.  If you are a Bazi exponent, you will note the clashes between the heaven stems and branches.

In addition, time stem is Ren and it is at the grave stage in South East.  Take note that Self Penalty lurks in that palace.  Furthermore we have Ji+Xin,己+辛, in the classic Qi Men text, it says, 'may encounter spirits and ghosts'.

This is one of those readings that you do not want to see or hope the worst is not as bad as described.

Generally precaution must be heightened in forested or jungle areas as the night dawns.

Day Master Strength first pass completed for Bazi software

The daymaster's strength determination has been completed.  For the initial pass, the 'general good and challenging' decades are colored red and black respectively.

The screen capture below has more information, would you like to have this set of pillars?

Next Generation Bazi software Daymaster calculation almost there

I am pleased to announce a milestone, the day master's strength determination formula has been coded into the application.

In this version, day master strength takes into considerations the biggest headache in Bazi ....  combinations!

Most apps usually show you the plain vanilla charts and not many try to venture to determine the day master strength.

However I will include another feature to allow the users' to select the day master type.

Currently the five categories will be considered.

1. Weak
2. Strong
3. Dominant
4. Passive

For example, in this chart, day master appears to born be in season but if the natal combinations are taken care of, the chart switches to a weak category.

Bilingual Bazi software screen shots

Today I managed to integrate the English and Chinese text that explains the interactions between the pillars.  You can toggle between Chinese or English text using the language button.

This screen capture shows the English text, space is a premium, so I have to use concise shorthand and some symbols to represent the elements.  Smallest screen supported is 1280*768 DPI.

This is a screen capture showing the Chinese text.  This is where the utility of the Chinese language's pictorial system shines, a lot of information can be convey with minimal characters.

From the interactions, we can easily deduce the Day Master is a weak Metal.

TODO:
1. Complete the stems interactions
2. Chart day master determination e.g. strong, weak, follow, fake, transform.

Fivearts.net may be gone but the apps will push on

It is with a heavy heart that as a former forum member of Fivearts.net, I have to accept the inevitable closure after 8 years of happy memories and forum surfing.

Sadly forum members will realize the immense loss after the site is down.

Anyway, I will still press on the next generation bilingual Bazi app.  Perhaps fivearts.net will be resurrected in another form soon.

If you are reading this blog and have some questions regarding the 64 Hexagram Qi Men Dun Jia, please do not be shy, hesitate no more and contact me.  The write-ups on Qi Men Dun Jia and Xuan Kong Da Gua date selection is located in the earlier sections of this blog.

Bazi is indeed the Queen of Chinese Metaphysical Studies.  Its influence is felt in almost every branch....Qi Men, Xuan Kong, San He, Zi Wei etc.

After a few days of intense development, this is a screen capture of my app.

It has the ability to save user data.  The other ribbon buttons allow you to switch the language but in this example, I show the English and Mandarin text to highlight its multi-language nature.

Most Bazi apps took the short cut and remove the interactions, but I have painstakingly computed and plot out the interactions to make things easier for blokes with short memory span.  Of course, most Bazi apps on the market have limited calendaring capabilities as they usually hard code the 24 Jie Qi for the next 20-30 years, well their developers are indeed very hardworking to hardcode the dates rather than perform computations.

I would say the Bazi app is rather much more complex app compared to my earlier Zi Wei Si Hua, 64 Hexagrams /9 palaces Qi Men Dun Jia apps.   There are days where I spent hours on a particular function and realize the gaps 5 days later, certainly heartbreaking stuff.

Nevertheless the goal is to match or exceed any Bazi apps' specifications on the market.

TODO:
1. Interactions between stems - UI intensive
2. Chart strength determination - very tricky
